Read All About It at the Immaculate Spring Musical Newsies April 28-29!
DANBURY, CT – Extra! Extra! It’s the Immaculate High School’s performance of Disney’s Newsies on April 28 and 29, 2023.
Student performers will be retelling the story of the Newsboy Strike of 1899 in this Spring Musical at Edmond Town Hall at 45 Main Street in Newtown, Connecticut. Ticket sales for Newsies will go live Saturday, March 4 at 5pm for three performances: Friday, April 28 at 7pm and Saturday, April 29 at 1pm or 7pm. https://www.eventbrite.com/o/immaculate-high-school-41643336013
The play follows passionate Jack Kelly and his band of teenage newsies as they rally against big-time publisher Joseph Pulitzer after he unfairly raises the cost of newspapers. An ambitious reporter, Katherine Plummer, is sympathetic to their cause and provides a platform to make their voices heard. With encouragement from newcomer Davey and long-time friend Crutchie, Jack takes a stand and calls together newsies from all over New York City to strike!
