WASHINGTON, D.C.—Light the World! is a chance for high school students to learn how faith and culture interact with everyday activities.
During our in-person institutes, participants spend one week in Washington, D.C. on campus at The Catholic University of America. Throughout the week, participants get the chance to learn from our world-class faculty, interact with professionals who witness faithful excellence in their fields, explore the city, and grow in faith with their fellow participants and our undergraduate counselors.
Our virtual week will focus on youth spirituality, the importance of friendship with Jesus, and what it means to be a missionary disciple and will offer participants the chance to engage with our faculty, to hear from engaging presenters, and to pray together on the journey of discipleship.
This event is open to rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors whose faith is important to them, who want to know how their faith impacts their everyday lives, and want a college experience that will challenge them intellectually and spiritually.
Participants get an in-depth look at the interaction between faith and culture, experience a taste of college life, and develop Christ-centered friendships that will last for years to come!
