Memorial Day observance

Our Lady of the Assumption Knights of Columbus “Star” Council #11077 is sponsoring its 24th annual Memorial Day Service at Assumption Parish, Fairfield, on Sunday, May 27.  The service is  “To Honor the War Dead of our Country”. The Memorial Mass is at 12 noon. The main celebrant and homilist is Father Charles Allen, SJ,  Fairfield University chaplain and executive assistant to the president.  Father Peter Cipriani, Assumption’s pastor and council chaplain, will be concelebrant. A military salute will follow on the parish grounds including prayers, pipers, gun volley and Taps. The Knights invite all to attend and remember our fallen heroes.
