Networking: Everything You Wanted to Know But Were Afraid to Try

An SCSC Zoom Meeting – Thursday, September 15 at 7:00 PM

One of our most popular speakers will join us on September 15 for an enlightening evening on Networking: Everything You Wanted to Know. Mark Troncone is a multi-credentialed information technology executive who has worked for the past 38 years with some of the premier firms in the marketplace, among them: James River Corporation, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Hewitt Aon, Wachovia Bank, Starwood Hotels, Save the Children, and (currently) Charter Communications. He is also a dedicated volunteer focused on helping transition groups or individuals learn the necessary skills and techniques to re-enter the job market.

Mark also has been in “transition mode” nine times during his career. He has witnessed changes in the traditional ways of finding employment. And he has leveraged this experience to develop and implement a baseline “Seven Point” step-by-step program to help those in transition identify what skills and processes they need to quickly establish and implement a practical plan to achieve maximum results–with creating an elevator speech that “WOWs” being one of the important steps. He’ll share this and other networking insights with us on September 15.

Says Mark: This will be a fun, interactive, evening that will cover the following topics:

The Seven Point Employment Strategy (Overview above)

  • Why do we network? —The REAL reason
  • Networking “Facts of Life”
  • The three Networking doors you must walk through
  • The seven common networking mistakes–Best practices and preparation
  • The “Eight to Eliminate.” Networking people to avoid. Don’t walk away—RUN.
  • And more (Time permitting)

Mark has communicated his unique approach to generating a career transitioning plan to many groups in the Fairfield County Area with consistently positive results.
