Parish Lenten Retreat: Mother Olga Yaqon

We are so excited for this year’s retreat speaker — Mother Olga Yaqob, foundress of The Daughters of Mary of Nazareth, a new religious community of sisters. Mother Olga, also known as the “Mother Teresa of Baghdad,” was born in Iraq and has lived through four Iraqi wars. She has lost family and friends to war, and experienced first hand persecution for her faith, and yet she has a message filled with hope! Her love and abiding faith in our merciful God is inspiring. She is a dynamic speaker with a powerful message that will encourage us this Lenten season to prepare our hearts to celebrate Easter with abundant joy and the peace that comes through faith.
