Sacred Heart to Host Holocaust Survivor at Kristallnacht Commemoration @ Sacred Heart University

WHAT: The Chapel of the Holy Spirit will hold its annual Kristallnacht commemoration, remembering “the Night of Broken Glass,” when the windows of Jewish businesses, synagogues and schools were shattered by the Nazis in Germany in 1938. That night, several lives were lost, many innocent people were arrested and the early stages of the Holocaust began.

WHO: Claire Boren, a Holocaust survivor, will be the guest speaker, sharing with us her message: “always remember that prejudice and hatred must be stopped whenever it occurs. We must all try to do the right thing and cry out whenever you see injustice and other people persecuted. You must not stay silent.”

WHERE: Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Avenue, Fairfield

WHEN: Wednesday, November 13, at 2 p.m.
