Our Scripture Study Week program, which includes a week-long pilgrimage to the Holy Land, is designed for young adults in their 20s to fall in love with Scripture by immersing themselves in the study of the Sacred Scriptures, pilgrimage to Sacred Biblical sites, and shared theological reflection with a small faith community.
Only 25 spaces are available. Open to Young Adults who currently live or attend school in the Diocese of Bridgeport.
When: The pilgrimage to the Holy Land will take place July 18 – 27, 2019. Post-pilgrimage reflection will be ongoing for 1 year following the trip.
Who: Young adults who will be 19-35 years old at the time of trip are invited to apply. You must be able to participate in all aspects of the program including pre and post-pilgrimage sessions.
Cost: The total cost of the trip is $3,500 per person. Those who are accepted into the program are eligible for a partial scholarship as monies become available.

Registration Timeline:
- May 1, 2019 – Application deadline! Submit a brief biography (no more than 500 words) outlining who you are, why you wish to attend, how you hope to grow in your faith, and any specific Scriptural interests.
- June 4, 2019 – Pre-pilgrimage meeting for all those accepted into the program. Join us in person or online to pray, get to know the other pilgrims, and hear an overview of the daily schedule.
- June 15, 2019 – Final payments are due. Some scholarship money is available. (See below.)
- July 18, 2019 – Depart for the Holy Land. While present on the pilgrimage, you will be required to lead one of the daily reflections (your thoughts about the day), participate fully in all group activities, and be committed to participating in follow up activities.
