WHAT: Sr. Ilia Delio will give Sacred Heart University’s annual Jorge Bergoglio Lecture “Evolution, Posthumanism and the New Catholicity.” Delio will also receive an honorary degree during an academic convocation at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
WHO: Sr. Ilia Delio is a Franciscan Sister of Washington, DC, and American theologian specializing in the area of science and religion, with interests in evolution, physics and neuroscience and the import of these for theology.
